BodhiVerse is a technology-for-education company incubated at IIT Bombay. We build secure, cloud-based solutions that make classrooms and examinations simpler, faster, and more reliable. Our products are designed to reduce administrative burden on educators, enhance student participation, and modernize the way institutions run their academic processes. At our core, we believe education should focus on learning and growth, not operational hurdles.

How it Started

BodhiVerse began inside the classrooms of IIT Bombay, born out of everyday academic challenges faced by both students and instructors.

The first spark came from real classroom challenges. Instructors noticed that student engagement in flipped classes was low, weekly quizzes were difficult to conduct regularly, and attendance gradually declined, dampening both teaching and learning. On the other hand, large-scale exams with hundreds of candidates consumed enormous effort in grading. These recurring pain points highlighted the need for a smarter, technology-driven solution.

To address these challenges, the founding team started experimenting with a digital solution that combined secure attendance, regular quizzes, and streamlined grading tools. What began as a small initiative quickly proved its value. Within a year, the system was being used by entire first-year batches at IIT Bombay to mark their attendance.

The momentum didn’t stop there. Recognizing the broader need to modernize classroom operations and assessments, the project evolved into a scalable product. To support this growth and bring the solution to institutions beyond IIT Bombay, BodhiVerse was incubated at SINE, IIT Bombay’s business incubator.

What started as a simple fix for participation and grading inefficiencies has now grown into SAFEGrad, BodhiVerse’s flagship product, trusted by multiple institutions to streamline attendance and exams. And at the heart of it, the original spirit remains the same: solving real academic problems with technology that just works.

Behind BodhiVerse are IIT Bombay professors who’ve lived the classroom experience firsthand. Their expertise in networks, systems, and education technology ensures every product is shaped by insight, not assumption.

Specializing in cloud systems, network security, and technology for education, Prof. Chebrolu combines research-driven expertise with hands-on system building. Her focus ensures BodhiVerse solutions are not only secure and efficient, but also adaptable to the diverse needs of educational institutions.
